Position Summary

Hiring for a Security Area Manager position. Multiple Seattle locations.

The position provides a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while patrolling the property in accordance with company and property policies, practices and procedures. Security Officer experience is highly preferred. Please know there is a fair amount of walking.

Responsibilities
  • Scheduling
  • Interviewing/Hiring
  • Training on sites, apps, policies
  • Filling in for shifts, as needed
  • Site visits to communicate with Security Officers and clients
  • Obtain through the company and DOL:
    Security Guard Card and Certified Trainer’s License
  • Perform duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
  • 2 years experience as a supervisor/manager
  • Three years of experience as a licensed security officer
  • Must have a personal vehicle
  • Must have a smartphone and data plan
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Must have the ability to use a tablet and smartphone
  • Must possess tact, diplomacy, confidentiality, good judgment, and the ability to calmly and forcefully handle aggressive situations
Physical Requirements
  • Stand or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Drive, walk, run, bend from waist, crouch, stretch, kneel, climb, twist, walk up and down stairs, crawl without restrictions
  • Manual dexterity in hands and fingers
  • Work outdoors, exposed to dust, extreme heat, and extreme cold
Essential Job Functions
  • Warn or expel violators of rule infractions (loitering, drinking, drug use, criminal activities)
  • Report irregularities to the supervisor and complete a DAR (daily activity report) on the provided tablet
  • Log activities, vendors, contractors
  • Monitor and assist in enforcement of property policies and federal, state, and local laws
  • Prepare incident reports of property damage, unusual occurrences, criminal activity, suspicious circumstances, injuries
  • Assist in preliminary investigations and with local law enforcement as requested
  • Maintain a visible and accessible presence among customers and employees to deter problems and answer questions
  • Perform continuous customer service
