Duties
* You will analyze and evaluate security operations to establish policies, procedures, and conduct program assessments.
* You will analyze operational security directives or policies to identify action items (e.g. vulnerabilities, threats, safeguards).
* You will communicate security policies and standards for command compliance with security regulations and standards for all training requirements.
* You will conduct assessments on installation training utilizing online databases for tracking all Law Enforcement required training and weapons qualifications.
* You will advise management on new developments and advances in security techniques.
* You will advise installation security officers on matters that require explanations regarding updated training requirements and Law Enforcement qualifications regulations and procedures. Requirements Conditions of employment

* The work is partly sedentary which includes sitting, standing and walking. Part of the work will take place in an outdoor environment.
* Incumbent can expect to be called upon to conduct on-site surveys of discrepancies in the field periodically. Such work will include driving, walking, and occasionally hiking.
* The risks and discomforts imposed by an outdoor environment are minimal to an individual in reasonably good physical condition.
* Incumbent is responsible for accomplishing assigned work in a manner that will assure his own safety and the safety of others. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Conducting assessments on all installation physical security programs to examine procedures in effect for storage, accountability, accessibility, physical security configurations, etc.;
2) Providing training on alarm procedures, badge requirements, physical security inspections, and emergency response actions;
3) Advising installation security officers on regulations and procedures;
4) Implementing solutions to identified problems associated with physical security/loss prevention; and

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Must retain a WA state motor vehicle driver's license.
