Position: ELECTRONICS MECHANIC with Security Clearance
Location: Bangor

Duties
* You will work independently on routine and repetitive work.
* You will work as a team member under the direction of a higher grade employee to install, modify, overhaul, troubleshoot, and repair limited complex Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Mast and Antenna Sail Systems, and SWS equipment.
* You will assist higher grade electronics mechanics with maintaining limited complex systems that have frequent engineering changes such as design, construction, operating and servicing procedures.
* You will assist electronic mechanics researching plans, drawings, sketches, technical manuals, factory specifications, and other publications to assure that equipment meets operational specifications.
* You will use standard hand and power tools to disassemble equipment, inspect, repair, or replace components such as printed circuit components, resistors, semiconductors, wiring harnesses, computers, switches, and precision mechanical parts.
* You will use and assist others in the use of various advanced automated electronic test equipment and specialized test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, torque wrenches, and precision measuring tools. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to perform occasional sea duty.
* You will be required to work in small and/or confined spaces.
* You will be required to climb ladders and scaffolding.
* You will be required to be able to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 50 pounds in weight.
* You will be required to work onboard ships.
* You will be required to work in an area subject to electrical shocks, bruises, high level industrial noises, fumes from solvents, soil from oil and grease, as well as burns caused by electrical shocks, and soldering irons. Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
