In this role, you’ll help to inspect, repair, service and maintain gasoline‑, diesel‑powered, and electronically operated mobile equipment. You’ll learn the inner workings of each piece of equipment, become an expert at what you do, and expand your skillset by working on new equipment each day.

WageRange
$25.00 – $30.00 per hour (DOE) with potential for overtime.

The wage scale for this position is the full wage scale an individual can earn based on performance, experience, and seniority throughout their time at the company.

- Thorough mechanical knowledge of heavy‑duty construction equipment such as wheel loaders, dozers, excavators, and trucks and trailers with air brakes.
- Perform preventive maintenance services on equipment.
- Analyze malfunctions, repair, rebuild, and maintain equipment.
- Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools.
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.
- Direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment.
- Record time and parts used on the appropriate forms.
- Maintain general cleanliness of work areas and maintenance areas.
- Clean and lubricate parts.
- Repair electrical components on equipment.
- Assist other maintenance department staff to assure operational efficiency of vehicles.
- Promptly communicate with supervisors about any material flaws.
- Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Maintain regular and timely attendance.
- Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Minimum Qualifications- Safety‑mindful professional with good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
- Must pass a pre‑employment physical exam and controlled substance testing.
- Position is identified as safety‑sensitive (RCW 49.44.240) and requires a pre‑employment drug screening that includes testing for non‑psychoactive cannabis metabolites.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and all applicable company or state regulations.
