Instrumentation Technician

Job Highlights

• Responsible for installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of field instruments.
• Field instruments include pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters, switches, analyzers, recorders, controllers, I/P's, control valves, boiler control systems, etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC and DCS hardware problems.
• Ability to work outdoors in an industrial environment.
• Install and maintain instruments on new or existing plant equipment and processes.
• The schedule for this position is Monday‑Friday 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Must be willing to work overtime and respond to calls on weekends and evenings as needed.

• Two‑year degree or certificate in Instrument Technology or a related field.
• Ability to troubleshoot open and closed loop systems and controllers.
• Bench set actuators and mounts for control valves.
• Install and set up a positioner on a control valve.
• Interpret valve markings and nameplate information.
• Identify valve components from specific drawings.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Work in a safe manner and use proper safety equipment.

• Walk, climb, squat, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, or stand for long periods of time.
• Lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
• Wear necessary PPE, including respirator and SCBA (must be clean‑shaven).
• Work in a physical outdoor industrial environment, including during inclement weather.
• Work in confined spaces and at elevated locations.
• Use a fire extinguisher or other firefighting equipment in emergency situations.
• Successfully pass the pre‑screening requirements, including a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), Respirator test (must be clean‑shaven), and drug screen.

$50.44 per hour, inclusive of a global bonus program.
