You will experience a varied apprenticeship programme with responsibility in an environment that combines innovation and accountability. The training takes place in the following four years:

• Year 1 – Training workshop in Husum: metalworking / electrical engineering.
• Year 2 & 3 – Support service teams across Germany at wind turbines.
• Year 4 – Return to Husum to prepare for the final examination at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).

During your apprenticeship you will learn about the profession of service technician and the wide range of tasks involved.

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of systems.
• Large component replacement, rotor blade repairs, and related tasks.
• Manufacturing and testing of components, as well as material processing.
• Commissioning of wind turbines.
• Software programming and installation.

• Good school leaving certificate (intermediate or advanced technical college entrance qualification or university entrance qualification).
• Interest and aptitude in mathematics and physics.
• Team player mindset and a collaborative spirit.
• Skill in craftsmanship.
• Very good German and good English (written and spoken).
