About the Role:We’re currently looking for an experienced, senior electrician to join our team in Westport on a full‑time, permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and mentor electricians and apprentices.
- Coordinate projects from planning through to completion.
- Liaise with customers, consultants and subcontractors.
- Carry out commissioning, testing and fault finding.
- Assist with quoting, planning and project execution.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, customer service and health and safety.
This is a hands‑on role where you'll lead projects, support and mentor staff, liaise with customers and deliver quality outcomes across a diverse range of work.
The ideal candidate will have:- Current New Zealand Electrical Registration and a practising licence (EWRB).
- Experience in Industrial, Mechanical and Controls (IMC) environments, including motors, VSDs, PLCs and process control systems, will be highly regarded.
- Experience with solar PV installations would also be an advantage.
- Proven experience leading projects and supporting teams.
- Knowledge of New Zealand’s electrical safety regulations, and the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Full New Zealand driving licence.
- The legal right to work in New Zealand.
