Join Us as a Rolling Stock Repair & Welding Specialist Bring your hands-on talent to a shop that keeps railcars moving. You’ll take on mechanical repair, foundational welding, and daily shop support—advancing your capabilities through guided, practical experience.
What You’ll DoSupport general railcar repair operations and shop maintenance.
Handle materials for ongoing repair projects.
Operate shop machinery and mechanical hand tools.
Execute basic cutting and welding; perform limited welds under close supervision.
Remove/replace uncoupling levers; remove/dismantle couplers.
Remove/replace brake levers; assist with car jacking.
Take part in supervised railcar truck repair.
Remove and update AEI tags.
Develop toward certification in railcar welding positions (1G Flat and 2G Horizontal) while building basic stick welding knowledge.
Growth Path Learn on the job, sharpen techniques, and expand responsibilities as you demonstrate skill and consistency in the shop.
