Qualifications for the HVAC Piping Foreman:

• 3+ years of experience
• Chill Water / Heating Water serving AHU's, FCU's etc…
• Equipment installation i.e. chillers, boilers, mini splits is a must.
• Pipe fitting skills, specifically the ability to layout piping runs
• Rooftop equipment setting, curbs, fans, RTU's and AHU's
• Knowledge of proper piping assemblies for coils connections
• Ability to work with general contractors and subcontractors
• Ability to plan their work…. Line out a crew in 6-week increments on larger projects and update that plan weekly/bi-weekly
• Able to utilize plan grid / Procore or other documents managing platforms to look at drawings, docs
• Knowledge of safety rules and maintaining a proactive stance on safety
• Willing to teach less experienced partners who are willing to learn.
• Never takes the approach: "that's how they treated me when I was coming up…" As this is one reason we have a trade shortage in the first place.
• Never assumes "that's not my job"…and is willing to lead by example and work as necessary to get the job done.
