Position: 2026-2027 Senior Class Advisor - (Internal Only)
Location: Soap Lake

Position Overview The Senior Class Advisor works closely with the senior class to support student leadership, organization, and successful completion of senior-year activities. This position guides students in planning events, managing fundraising, and meeting all requirements associated with graduation and culminating activities. The advisor ensures all class activities align with ASB policies, financial procedures, and district expectations while promoting a positive and inclusive senior experience.

Primary Responsibilities Student Leadership & Organization
* Advise and support senior class officers and student leaders.
* Facilitate regular meetings to plan and organize senior class activities.
* Promote student responsibility, leadership, and collaboration. Event Planning & Coordination
* Oversee planning and execution of senior events, which may include: *
  • Senior activities and celebrations
    * Graduation-related events and traditions
    * Class meetings and recognition activities
    * Coordinate logistics, timelines, and communication for all senior events.
    * Ensure appropriate supervision and safety procedures are in place. Fundraising & Financial Oversight
    * Support and supervise senior class fundraising efforts.
    * Ensure all fundraising and expenditures follow ASB financial guidelines and cash-handling procedures.
    * Work with office staff and ASB Advisor to maintain accurate financial records.
    * Assist students in budgeting for senior class activities. Communication & Collaboration
    * Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff regarding senior activities and expectations.
    * Collaborate with administration, counselors, and ASB Advisor to support graduation requirements and timelines.
    * Assist in sharing important information related to senior deadlines and events. Additional Duties
    * Chaperone senior events as needed.
    * Support school-wide activities in collaboration with ASB and staff.
    * Assist in maintaining records related to senior activities and finances.
    * Perform other duties as assigned related to senior class activities. Qualifications
    * Valid Washington State teaching certificate preferred.
    * Experience working with student leadership or activities preferred.
    * Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
    * Ability to manage multiple events and timelines.
    * Knowledge of or willingness to learn ASB policies and financial procedures.
    * Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families. Working Conditions
    * Requires flexibility beyond the regular school day, including evenings and occasional weekends.
    * Additional time required for event planning, supervision, and coordination of senior activities.
