As a Software Development Manager you will own the vision and architecture for products that enforce and enable secure development  will work closely with customers, partner teams, and foundational engineering teams to ensure that customer needs are clearly understood and addressed. Collaboration with senior leadership will drive key engineering and business decisions that achieve the right outcomes, while learning about various Amazon businesses.

• Build a high‑performing software engineering team.
• Own the software architecture, development, operations, and strategic direction of the team.
• Collaborate with customers and partner teams to prioritize and deliver on secure development capabilities.
• Work with senior leadership to drive engineering and business decisions that meet Amazon’s high security standards.

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 5+ years of leading the definition and development of multi‑tier web services.
• 5+ years of Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupational experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

• Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and effectiveness.

Base salary range: $ – $ USD annually (Bellevue/Seattle). Final compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location and includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units.
