Reports to:
Athletic Director
- Provides instruction to students in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport
- Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises
- Assesses students' skills, monitors students during competition and practice
- Provides determining game strategy
- Follows established procedures in the event of an injury
- Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards students, officials and spectators
- Supervises and maintains the equipment room in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for its security
- Distributes and collects equipment, supplies and uniforms to students as directed by the head coach
- Maintains a safe environment and facilities for student athletes at all times
- Participates in special activities to include parent's night, banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies
- Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records
- Models non discriminatory practices in all activities
- Previous Coaching experience preferred
- Reasoning Ability
- Ability to communicate with high school students, parents, coaches and staff
- Must complete Safe Schools and WIAA required training prior to the beginning of the sport's season
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- High School diploma or GED
- Per WIAA - minimum age for head coach is 21 years of age, assistant coach is 19 years of age
- Previous Coaching experience preferred

- CPR/First Aid card
- Ability to speak effectively to administration, staff, students and parents.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules.

Requires some travel. - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Work is predominantly in athletic rooms and outside on athletic field(s) or golf courses. Temperature normal climate, occasional adverse weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
- Travels to other school district buildings as required.
