Chelan High School has an opening for an assistant girls’ wrestling assistant coach starting immediately for the 2026-27 season. We are seeking passionate coaches committed to enhancing educational opportunities for students through athletics, while promoting the Chelan Athletic Department core values:
Motivated, Open Minded, Respectful and Engaged. Salary range is $4,675 to $5,636 based on prior, documented, school district experience in the same sport.
- Prior coaching and/or playing experience in the sport.
- Proven ability to coach at the high school level.
- Willingness to work with staff.
- Valid first aid and CPR card, or willingness to obtain upon hiring.
- FBI, Washington State Patrol and Sexual Misconduct background clearance.
- Responsible for leading and administering a program that is organized, well prepared, and operated with integrity. Coaches should use athletics to teach valuable life skills and provide an exceptional educational experience for the student athletes.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with the student-athletes. Strive to be a quality role model that the student-athletes feel comfortable going to for mentorship, always putting student-athletes’ needs at the forefront and vigorously working to serve their needs.
- Commitment to promoting the vision, values, and mission of the school district and athletic department.
