Dump Truck​/Bus Driver; DOT

Typical Duties

• Actively support the company's commitment to safety and its core values.

• Prepare trucks for operation by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tire pressure; obtaining or scheduling required repairs; validating adherence to roadability standards.
• Load trucks by ordering, placing, and securing items.
• Deliver items by identifying destinations; establishing route; operating the truck; unloading items; maintaining schedule.
• A CDL bus driver's main duty is to safely transport passengers using a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate passenger endorsement.
• Serve customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, obey traffic laws, assist passengers, adhere to schedules, keep the bus clean, and communicate effectively with passengers and dispatchers.
• Identify safety hazards that may affect you or other employees and take corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
• Maintain truck operating efficiency by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; scheduling repairs.
• Maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organizational operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations; clean truck/bus exterior and interior.
• Maintain delivery, truck, and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments; recording tracking information; completing driver log and truck performance forms.
• Work well under supervision.
• Be able to work around existing underground utilities and tight areas.
• Communicate effectively with site supervision.
• Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience driving on roads, mechanical, industrial or refinery maintenance experience transporting material and passengers.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Must be able to pass equipment written test and visual observation of operating equipment.
• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate Truck and Bus endorsements required for the position.
• Must have experience in scheduling, travel logistics, verbal communication, customer focus, deadline orientation, travel, acute vision, lifting, dependability.
• Complete the Matrix Service Safety training, and client/site specific training.
• Must obtain and maintain active status within the DISA drug testing program.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and successfully clear an MVR and driving record review.
• Must have a current DOT Physical.

• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work from elevated or uneven surfaces.
• Work involves standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Work may include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and occasional climbing onto equipment and/or trailers.
• Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing a minimum of 35 pounds to a maximum of 100 pounds, with assistance.
• Requires visual ability sufficient to perform job duties. Work normally requires eye-hand coordination.
• Travel and overtime may be required.

Washington law requires pay information in job postings. The typical hiring range for this position in Washington is $29.00 - $31.00 per hour.
