Typical Duties
- Actively support the company's commitment to safety and its core values.

- Prepare trucks for operation by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tire pressure; obtaining or scheduling required repairs; validating adherence to roadability standards.
- Load trucks by ordering, placing, and securing items.
- Deliver items by identifying destinations; establishing route; operating the truck; unloading items; maintaining schedule.
- A CDL bus driver's main duty is to safely transport passengers using a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate passenger endorsement.
- Serve customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, obey traffic laws, assist passengers, adhere to schedules, keep the bus clean, and communicate effectively with passengers and dispatchers.
- Identify safety hazards that may affect you or other employees and take corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
- Maintain truck operating efficiency by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; scheduling repairs.
- Maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organizational operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations; clean truck/bus exterior and interior.
- Maintain delivery, truck, and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments; recording tracking information; completing driver log and truck performance forms.
- Work well under supervision.
- Be able to work around existing underground utilities and tight areas.
- Communicate effectively with site supervision.
- Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience driving on roads, mechanical, industrial or refinery maintenance experience transporting material and passengers.
- General knowledge of basic hand tools.
- Must be able to pass equipment written test and visual observation of operating equipment.
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate Truck and Bus endorsements required for the position.
- Must have experience in scheduling, travel logistics, verbal communication, customer focus, deadline orientation, travel, acute vision, lifting, dependability.
- Complete the Matrix Service Safety training, and client/site specific training.
- Must obtain and maintain active status within the DISA drug testing program.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and successfully clear an MVR and driving record review.
- Must have a current DOT Physical.
Special Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work from elevated or uneven surfaces.
- Work involves standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Work may include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and occasional climbing onto equipment and/or trailers.
- Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing a minimum of 35 pounds to a maximum of 100 pounds, with assistance.
- Requires visual ability sufficient to perform job duties. Work normally requires eye-hand coordination.
- Travel and overtime may be required.
Washington law requires pay information in job postings. The typical hiring range for this position in Washington is $29.00 - $31.00 per hour.
