Flagger - Laborer Part Time

Road Maintenance Flagger / Laborer

Jefferson County Public Works Department seeks a part-time Road Maintenance Flagger/Laborer. This position performs various road maintenance tasks including traffic control, cleaning culverts, cleaning drainage ditches, patching roads, and litter pickup. This is a clerk hire position with a maximum of 69 hours per month.

Minimum Qualifications

• Individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily.
• Requirements listed in the job description are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• Washington State Traffic Control Flagger certification card desirable; training may be provided for the right candidate.

Valid WA State driver's license with clean driving record

Hours & Compensation

• Part-time Clerk Hire position up to 69 hours per month.
• Pay: $32.00 per hour.
• No benefits except sick leave. One paid sick hour earned per 40 hours worked.
