School Bus Driver – 2 Positions

County-wide, initially located at North Jackson High School.

• Perform pre‑trip inspection.
• Meet all safety standards.
• Attend re‑certification class annually.
• Submit to random drug testing.
• Bring the bus in for inspection monthly.
• Attend a professional development workshop for two days each year.
• Be responsible for contacting the bus garage if problems arise.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the bus.
• Complete and submit the school bus disciplinary report to the principal as necessary.
• Responsible for maintaining and submitting a monthly driver’s report.
• Perform two emergency evacuation drills each year.
• Any other essential functions assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Commercial Driver’s License with the Alabama State Department of Education.
• School Bus Driver’s Certification.

Jackson County Salary Schedule

May 21, 2026, through July 17, 2026, or until filled.
