Road Maintenance Worker
Performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled routine and manual road maintenance and construction work and other related work as required. Operates a variety of hand and power tools and various vehicles and equipment to accomplish work.

Job Duties:
Knowledge of work hazards and safety procedures. Techniques, methods and practices of road maintenance. The proper and safe use of a variety of equipment. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Understand and follow written and oral instructions. Operate and use a variety of motorized equipment and vehicles used in the performance of duties. Work independently or cooperatively in work crews.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees. Physically perform the essential functions of the job.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform this job. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
- High school diploma or G.E.D., and experience operating motorized equipment, preferably in road maintenance or related field.
- Valid Washington State Commercial driver's license
- Class A combination with tank vehicle endorsement and no air brake restriction.
- Ability to obtain a valid Washington State approved Flagger's Card.
