MOTOR Vehicle Operator; FORK LIFT Operator) Security Clearance

Position: MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR (FORK LIFT OPERATOR) with Security Clearance
Location: McChord Air Force Base

Duties
-Drives tractor trailers and/or other vehicles typically having a GVW of more than 32,000 pounds
-Operates one or more electric, LPG, or diesel powered fork lift trucks to facilitate loading and unloading duties
-Drives one or more types of passenger buses which carry 16 or more passengers.

-Performs operator maintenance
-Maintains records and documents actions, such as operator inspection checklists/forms and accident/incident reports.

-lUtilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. Requirements Conditions of employment

* The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position
* Incumbent must possess or have the capability to acquire a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and any required endorsements within 12 months of assignment. This requirement is a condition of employment.
* Licensing of federal civilian employees in overseas areas will be governed by Status of Forces Agreements and/or host nation requirements
* Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth
* May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or Shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours
* This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program
* Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety
* IAW SA-2024-12, this position requires a physical/medical examination. The physical/medical requirements of this position as determined are:
Physical effort is moderate to heavy
* Work requires reaching, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls. Associated duties require stooping, bending, and climbing
* Lifts and carries objects weighing up to 40 pounds and heavier objects with assistance
* Noncritical Sensitive:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-5700 Transportation/Mobile Equipment Operation Group. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is the ability to perform the duties of a MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR (FORK LIFT OPERATOR) without more than normal supervision JOB ELEMENTS:
