Job Summary This position provides evaluation, communication, coordination, recognition, and enforcement in the areas of safety, health, environment, and asset protection on a district level. It works with Stores and Corporate management to control inventory shrink, reduce damages, improve gross margin, and minimize accident frequency rates for General Liability, Property, and Workers Compensation claims. The role improves execution of SOPs and ensures a safe environment for customers and Team Members.
It conducts investigations into alleged policy/procedure violations and theft, including interviews and CCTV review, and writes reports. Physical travel to assigned and unassigned sites is required for scheduled visits, incident response, and maintaining program standards.
Responsibilities
Execute the business plan and associated Asset Protection and Safety programs to deliver desired shrink, safety, and profit results with high service standards.Respond to incidents at assigned and non‑assigned sites, ensuring asset protection and safety coverage are maintained and financial goals achieved.Review asset protection, safety, and audit evidence—including digital, hard‑copy, and CCTV—and provide data/reports to the appropriate manager.Conduct on‑site and remote audits, ensuring company policy expectations are fulfilled.Ensure compliance programs are in place and effective for equipment, training, agency compliance, and safety programs.Develop strong teams and partnerships with corporate work groups and local law enforcement to improve inventory shrinkage and store operations.Partner with Store leadership, HR, and internal customers to develop, improve, and enforce internal policy and procedures.Work with leadership to develop loss‑reduction strategies, conduct ongoing risk assessments, and outline corrective measures.Maintain and enforce a safe and secure environment.Partner with store leaders to manage and control asset protection and safety operations.Minimize operational shrinkage by assessing exception‑based reports and acting accordingly.Conduct monthly and weekly inventory controls, audit paperwork, and retail units, ensuring accuracy and implementing controls.Hold a valid, state‑issued driver’s license and reliable transportation for frequent travel.Travel with little notice, both short and long distances.Review and analyze activities and records for compliance with GSFB policies and SOPs.Review Asset Protection, Risk/Safety, and Audit reports, and develop recommendations to reduce shrinkage.Initiate and support confidential investigations involving company assets and associates; support recovery and civil demands.Assist with incident investigations, preparing reports with corrective action recommendations and monitoring implementation.Review CCTV using mobile devices or a computer monitor for incidents and activity across multiple domains.Use approved technology and software systems to investigate and maintain investigations to company standards.Conduct physical live observations and apprehensions.Assist with repair, installation, and programming of CCTV systems, key control, and other security elements.Present Asset Protection cases to law enforcement and courts; testify in court representing the company.Ensure store compliance with all laws and workplace standards.Act as liaison between Stores and Corporate on all Asset Protection matters.Participate as a member of the District Management team in planning and implementing district missions and goals.Advise the District team on Asset Protection and Safety matters.Detect and resolve situations involving associate theft, abuse, or unsafe acts involving company assets.Ensure all physical security measures are in place and operational.Coordinate implementation of emergency response plans and act as Emergency Coordinator for the District.Review and report on inventory movement and damages; support inventory activities.Conduct Safety and Incident Reviews.Drive Safety awareness and training programs.Review and manage Safety processes and rates.Review incoming…
