Operations Officer

About Us: We are a WA owned leading company in the car carrying industry, dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Fleet Controller to join our team.

The Role: As a Fleet Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Receiving and processing job requests from customers, ensuring accurate allocation within our system.
• Strategically assigning deliveries to drivers, prioritizing time-sensitive tasks to meet strict deadlines.
• Collaborating with our administrative and operational teams to troubleshoot and resolve any logistical issues that arise.
• Monitoring the maintenance and servicing schedules of our fleet vehicles, ensuring timely maintenance is conducted to keep our trucks operating at peak performance and safety standards.
• Optimizing the utilization and scheduling of our local fleet resources to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Familiarizing yourself with the wharf system to coordinate the timely removal of vehicles upon ship arrival.
• Ensuring all completed jobs are accurately prepared for invoicing, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• May need to attend the wharf for ship arrivals to find vehicles and coordinate the loading of vehicles onto trucks.
• Building good relationships with our customers, showing our dedication to professionalism and integrity.
• Upholding our company's reputation for delivering exceptional customer service at every interaction.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the Transport and Logistics industry is highly valued.
• Knowledge of vehicles an advantage.
• Experience in scheduling and planning within transportation.
• Proficiency in computer skills, especially Excel.
• Thorough understanding of Western Australia's geography.
• Outstanding communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Customer-centric approach with a focus on achieving results.
• Punctual, enthusiastic, and capable of thriving in a fast‑paced constantly changing environment.
