Job Summary:
Home Depot is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Maintenance Associate to ensure our distribution centers operate efficiently, safely, and at peak performance. This role is critical in maintaining equipment, machinery, and facilities, supporting the flow of products from suppliers to stores. The ideal candidate will have a hands‑on approach, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment, machinery, and tools.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems as needed.
- Maintain warehouse infrastructure, including lighting, plumbing, flooring, and safety systems.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA standards across all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and operations teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting workflow.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Assist in warehouse organization and cleanliness initiatives, including waste disposal and equipment storage.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certifications preferred.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, conveyor systems, pallet jacks, and automated storage systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or facility operations, preferably in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and repair documentation is a plus.
- Full‑time position, typically 40 hours per week.
- Flexible shifts may be required, including evenings, nights, or weekends depending on warehouse operations.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and perform hands‑on tasks regularly.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
- Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Basic computer skills for logging maintenance activities and reporting.
