Receiving Associate

Location: Preston

Summary/Objective

The Receiving Associate position is responsible for receiving and verify all incoming product. Record and document receipt of incoming purchase orders.

Essential Functions

• Prepare incoming products for receipt by unpacking truck containers, individual boxes, or palletized shipments.
• Verify products against purchase order, invoice, and/or manifest.
• Use forklift or hand truck to distribute items within the warehouse.
• Use company ERP system for data entry and item/warehouse management.
• Communicate daily with individuals from the sales/purchasing departments on order/package issues, delays, damage, or any other occurrence that may affect timely receiving of product.
• Follow all AS9100, AS9120, and ISO
  9001 standards as well as all relevant WISHA and OSHA standards.

Strength Guideline:
The employee must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds, occasional lift or move up to 70 pounds and rarely lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Motion Parameters:
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Vision and Hearing:
The employee is required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, at times can be high.

High School Diploma GED or three year of related experience; or three to five years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
