We are looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented Solar Technician to join our installation team in Washougal. This is a hands-on field position where you will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly of solar PV systems. You will work outdoors in various weather conditions, ensuring every array we build meets our elite "10-Year Craftsmanship Warranty" standards.
Key Responsibilities- System Installation: Measure, layout, and install solar racking, modules, and electrical components on both rooftop and ground-mount systems.
- Technical Maintenance: Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on existing solar arrays to ensure peak performance.
- Electrical Support: Assist licensed electricians with wiring inverters, batteries (BESS), and system monitoring equipment (e.g., Enphase, Solar Edge).
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety standards, including the proper use of fall protection harnesses and ladders.
- Client Interaction: Represent Sun Bridge Solar on-site by communicating project updates to homeowners and maintaining a clean, professional job site.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable using power tools (drills, impact drivers) and hand tools for conduit bending and hardware assembly.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, climb ladders, and work comfortably at heights on sloped roofs.
- Team Player: A positive, "teachable" attitude with a commitment to technical excellence and honesty.
- Reliability: Valid Washington driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in construction, roofing, or electrical work (Solar-specific experience is a major plus).
- Basic understanding of electrical systems or a desire to obtain an electrical trainee card.
- NABCEP certification or interest in pursuing it is highly encouraged.
