The Shop Lead supports the maintenance, repair, inspection, and operational readiness of company vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment. This role serves as the lead technical resource for shop operations by coordinating preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, DOT compliance activities, and equipment inspections to ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and compliant with OSHA, DOT, and company standards. The Shop Lead also supports shop organization, safe work practices, and equipment uptime in coordination with division leadership and field teams.

- High school Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- DOT Medical Card preferred
- CDL is preferred. Will hire non-CDL but must be willing to get CDL in 6 months after hire
- Valid Forklift/telehandler/pallet jack certification preferred
- Valid Man‑lift/Aerial platform certification preferred
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification preferred, employer will provide training within 6 months of hiring or recertification as needed
- 3+ years of experience maintaining and repairing vehicles, heavy equipment, diesel equipment, or small engine/marine equipment preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of DOT compliance, preventative maintenance practices, and equipment inspection requirements.
- Experience performing maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, trailers, and construction equipment.
- Familiarity with low‑voltage electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience using equipment maintenance or fleet management software preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose equipment issues and prioritize repairs effectively.
