Senior Tax Preparer / Tax Accountant (US-Based Client)
Remote | Full-Time | US Time Zones.
LTD Scale is hiring an experienced Senior Tax Preparer / Tax Accountant to support US-based clients. This role is for professionals with strong, hands‑on experience in high‑volume individual and business tax preparation who can work independently with minimal supervision.
Minimum Requirements- At least 4 years of direct tax preparation experience
- 150+ business returns (Forms 1120 and 1065) prepared
- Individual and business tax preparation (1040, 1120, 1065)
- Work papers, trial balances, and book-to-tax adjustments
- Short‑term and long‑term rental activities, including Airbnb
- K-1s and proper flow‑through treatment
- Multi‑state and SALT filings, including apportionment
- Exposure to clients across real estate, retail, technology, professional services, restaurants, and hospitality
- Proficiency in Ultra Tax CS and Quick Books Online (QBO)
- Cost segregation and depreciation concepts
- Stock‑based compensation (ISOs, NSOs, RSUs)
- Section 1031 like‑kind exchanges
- Client correspondence and tax notice resolution (IRS, FTB)
Candidates should be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and confident handling complex returns independently. Only applicants who meet the minimum experience and return volume requirements will be considered.
