Position Overview
We are seeking a Public Health Center Office Manager to lead our administrative team, provide exceptional client service, and streamline operations for the nursing staff. The role is key in supporting public health initiatives and ensuring efficient administrative workflow.

Key ResponsibilitiesAs Office Manager, you will:
- Guide and support the administrative team.
- Ensure clients and customers receive excellent service.
- Develop and maintain efficient administrative operations for nursing staff.
- Lead initiatives to improve service delivery and operational effectiveness.
- Decision Making – make sound, well‑informed, objective decisions and take action in uncertain situations.
- Interpersonal Skills – show empathy, cultural sensitivity, and maintain effective relationships with diverse people.
- Managing Performance – set measurable expectations, track progress, support employees, and address performance issues promptly.
- Oral and Written Communication – convey information clearly to varied audiences, listen effectively, and respond appropriately.
- Professionalism – demonstrate integrity, ethical behavior, time‑management, and teamwork.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED, adult education, etc.).
- Minimum one year of office work experience providing clerical support, including reception duties, data entry, and basic office procedures.
- Typing proficiency (required for some positions in this class).
- A valid Alaska driver’s license is preferred and may be required for operations involving motor vehicles.
- Proof of required immunizations (Tdap, MMR, varicella, etc.).
- Proof of hepatitis B immunity or signed declination.
- Annual influenza vaccination or signed declination.
- Proof of tuberculosis screening within the past 12 months.
- Copy of current driver’s license.
