General Construction Worker

Responsibilities

• Perform various construction tasks including but not limited to framing, drywall installation, flooring, masonry, roofing, plumbing, electrical, and finishing work
• Operate heavy machinery, hand tools, and power tools to complete projects safely and efficiently
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accuracy in construction work
• Measure and cut materials to precise specifications
• Assist in the preparation and cleanup of construction sites
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications
• Collaborate with other workers, contractors, and supervisors to complete projects on time and within budget
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Identify and report any issues or safety hazards to supervisors
• Perform other duties as required to support the successful completion of construction projects

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, and the ability to perform a wide range of construction tasks
• This position requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team, while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on all construction projects
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction or trade-related field
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, construction machinery, and other related equipment
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation
