Our ANSEP Acceleration Academy is a dual enrollment program on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus that supports 9th‑12th grade students working to earn college credits before high school graduation. The Summer Acceleration Academy is a five‑week residential program that brings together high‑school students from across the state to earn college credits, participate in guided study sessions, and engage in extracurricular activities.

– Role Overview
The Summer Academy Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring students have a positive educational and extracurricular experience while helping to create a supportive community. The position incorporates risk management duties, student support, behavior management, and supervision. The Manager works as second in line to the Assistant Director and Senior Director, requiring a varied work schedule on/off campus and on‑call availability during scheduled shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise students and Program Assistants, providing community‑building experiences.
- Respond to incidents, accidents, and potential emergencies, serving as first responder.
- Coordinate program logistics and collaborate closely with students, Program Assistants, Summer Program Coordinators, Summer Dorm Supervisors, and program leadership to meet educational and extracurricular needs.
- Some college coursework; associates degree preferred.
- Four years progressively responsible experience related to student or high school–aged programs, or equivalent training/experience.
- At least one year of management experience.
- Current CPR with AED/First Aid certification; experience working in a camp or student summer program.
- Must be able to lift or move 25–50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
Location:
UAA campus, Anchorage. Full‑time, exempt, temporary position. New hires will be placed on the UA Temporary Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79 based on education and experience. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until a successful candidate is identified.
