The Department of Business and Public Administration at the University of Alaska Southeast, School of Arts & Sciences, is accepting applications for adjunct faculty members for the upcoming academic year . Experience, education, and/or certification is required in Management, Human Resources, Non-Profit Organizations, Public Administration, International Business, or related business fields. A successful candidate should encompass the following skills and abilities:- Ability to teach effectively in an online environment.
- Knowledge of accepted instructional methods.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Familiar with computer and other technologies for instruction, such as Blackboard.
- Terminal degree (or its equivalent) as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held.
- 3 years of relevant experience in the field or courses to be taught.
Teaching experience in different modalities—face-to-face, hybrid, online synchronous and online asynchronous—as well as ability to use technology to support teaching and learning.
Position DetailsThis is a temporary faculty position. Salary is based on the number of previous semesters teaching experience within the University of Alaska.
