Shift hours: 2 hours per day
Specific job responsibilities relevant for this position include:
Supporting students who need additional support with social norms and student safety as well as other duties assigned to include monitoring, clerical duties, support staff.
Job Summary:
Applicants must be Highly Qualified. Highly Qualified means you have met the paraprofessional requirements as defined by No Child Left Behind (NCLB). The NCLB minimum requirements for paraprofessionals are defined in NCLB Sections 1119(f) and 1119(c)(1) as:
High school diploma or GED AND Two years of college (at least 48-semester hour credits); or Associate's (or higher) degree; or Pass the Para Pro Assessment and the Paraprofessional Standards Checklist. It is the responsibility of the applicant to list the specifications of being Highly Qualified in their application and to furnish supporting documentation to the District. IMPORTANT:
If the method of obtaining Highly Qualified status is an Associates Degree or Higher, or 48 semester hours or equivalent then the following applies:
Transcripts from the University/College attended are required to verify highly qualified status for hire. We prefer official transcripts, however we will accept unofficial transcripts if they are in a comprehensible format provided by the university/college and contain all information necessary for determining that all the requirements for meeting highly qualified status have been satisfied. Applications and/or Transfers must be received in the Human Resources office by 4:30PM of the closing date.
