Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Fieldwork such as soil, vapor, surface water and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, and remediation treatment system operation and maintenance.
- Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation.
- Providing contamination assessment services, such as designing and implementing sampling plans, bench scale testing, and pilot test programs.
- Monitoring and oversight of site remediation and environmental construction projects.
- Well installation, aquifer testing, and groundwater monitoring.
- Conducting remedy evaluation, cost estimating, and supporting remedial implementation.
- Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting.
- Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures.
- Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (required)
- Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
- Prior research experience in contaminated media or remediation technology. (preferred)
- Internship(s), co‑op position, or prior work experience relevant to the position. (preferred)
- Experience with visualization tools (AutoCAD Arc View) and/or groundwater flow and geochemical modeling (Modflow, MT3D, geochemical equilibrium models). (preferred)
- Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)
- Demonstrated strong interest in contaminant remediation. (required)
- Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client‑driven drug and background testing. (required)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
- Minimum Salary: $73,880/year / Maximum Salary: $92,350/year (Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Diego, Ontario, Costa Mesa, CA)
- Minimum Salary: $77,235/year / Maximum Salary: $96,545/year (Long Beach, CA)
