ARG Industrial is seeking a Counter Sales & Hose Fabrication Associate for our Wasilla, AK location. This is a seasonal full‑time position with the potential to transition to regular full‑time employment. The role requires a self‑starter who works well with others in an energetic team environment, can take charge, and is willing to learn. The candidate must be organized, possess a strong attention to detail, and strive to provide great customer service.

The Counter Sales & Hose Fabrication Associate combines responsibilities from sales/customer service and operations/production. This frontline role delivers exceptional customer service at the counter while fabricating hydraulic and industrial hoses. The incumbent engages with customers, processes sales transactions, provides product information, and constructs hose assemblies with quality and compliance to specifications, all while adhering to safety protocols in a fast‑paced environment.

• Greet customers warmly and provide proactive assistance with product recommendations and information.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining inventory records.
• Fabricate industrial and hydraulic hoses according to company standards and specifications.
• Use appropriate tools and equipment for hose fabrication, including saws, crimpers, and measuring devices.
• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials within the warehouse.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and showroom areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Position operates in both the front counter and within the warehouse.
• May experience extended periods of standing.
• Regularly lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds.
• Work in moderately noisy environments typical of industrial settings.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Occasionally manage challenging and high‑pressure situations requiring composure.
• Work with production equipment, powered machinery, and hand tools including hydraulic crimpers, saws, grinders, cutters, etc.

• Successfully pass drug test screenings throughout employment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish connections.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions accurately.
• Proficiency in using computers and relevant software applications to process customer‑related tasks such as Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
• Basic knowledge of customer service principles, focusing on exceptional customer experiences.
• Ability to handle customer complaints and inquiries professionally, seeking satisfactory resolutions.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety protocols.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills to handle customer interactions effectively.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in sales and customer service is preferred.
