Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Medical Assistant at Algone, you'll be an essential member of our clinical team, supporting physicians and ensuring exceptional patient care. Daily tasks include:
Greeting patients, preparing them for exams, and documenting vital signs.
Assisting providers during procedures, exams, and treatments.
Educating patients and families on health, wellness, and medication instructions.
Coordinating referrals, labs, imaging, and pharmacy communications.
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient medical records.
Sanitizing, restocking, and organizing exam and procedure rooms.
Serving as a positive and professional liaison between patients, providers, and staff.
QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification: Medical Assistant Certification preferred, but not required.
Experience: At least 1 year of medical assisting experience preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply).
Skills & Abilities:
- Basic understanding of computer applications and ability to type 35+ wpm
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to stay calm and effective in fast-paced or emergency situations.
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and quality care.
This role involves standing, walking, bending, lifting, and handling clinical equipment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and work in a typical clinic environment with exposure to standard healthcare conditions.
Compensation & Benefits$22.00+ (DOE).
