SummaryWe are seeking a passionate Therapist to join our team at Hope Valley Health & Wellness in Wasilla Alaska. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission of delivering transformative mental health care through evidence-based practices and holistic therapies.
Responsibilities- Conducts psychosocial assessments and initiates a discharge plan at admission.
- Maintains assigned caseload.
- Facilitate appropriate therapeutic groups and individual therapy sessions.
- May assist in educating and training staff on behavior management or therapeutic crisis intervention.
- May assist in the training of new clinical staff and interns.
- Completes utilization reviews in a timely manner.
- Complete necessary community referrals and ensure continuity of care with other agencies as needed.
- Conduct assessments, screenings, treatment planning, and managing clients' progress.
- Other duties as assigned
- Current license, ACSW, LCSW, AMFT, LMFT, APCC or LPCC, required.
- At least two (2) years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorder preferred.
- Working knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
- Must have a current TB test or chest x-ray.
- Must have and maintain a valid Alaska driver’s license, clean driving record, and maintain personal auto insurance coverage.
- Knowledge of the requirements for providing services needed to clients.
- Experience in electronic charting preferred.
- Experience with conducting client group sessions, and one on one sessions is required.
- Strong understanding of the principles and application of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
- Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and CFR-42 client confidentiality regulations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as part of a team.
- Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills with superior attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
