Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Advanced Practice Provider delivers comprehensive, team-based primary care services to patients across the lifespan. This role emphasizes preventative care, chronic disease management, and integrated behavioral health collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct primary care services in an outpatient setting
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
- Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, and psychiatric providers
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Participate in quality improvement and patient-centered initiatives
- Support care coordination and population health efforts
- Promote patient education and preventative care strategies

- Licensed APRN (Family or similar) or Physician Assistant in the State of Alaska
- Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority
- Graduate of an accredited program
- Ability to work in a team-based, integrated care environment
- Experience in a community health center or rural health setting
- Familiarity with underserved populations
- Experience with electronic health records
- Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to serving rural and underserved communities
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment
- Ability to pass background check and meet credentialing requirements
- BLS certification (or obtained shortly after hire)
- Compliance with all MSHS policies and regulatory standards
