The Mental Health Clinical is an integral part of our service team and is responsible for providing integrated services for clients experiencing behavioral health nee ds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Provides a broad spectrum of therapeutic assessment, treatment, and referral services to diverse behavioral health clients, including children, adolescents, adults and families.
- Conducts comprehensive behavioral health assessments, encompassing integrated mental health and substance use evaluations. This includes precise diagnosis according to DSM guidelines, determining appropriate levels of care based on ASAM criteria, and formulating treatment plans and service recommendations.
- Conduct therapeutic groups to include, didactic, process, and experiential/expressive activities.
- Provide clinical focused individual sessions to include intensive case management.
- Participants in clinical team meetings to ensure clinical service provided are appropriate and adhere to the written treatment plan.
- Ensure support, advocacy, referral, and case management services to include domestic violence/sexual assault/human trafficking survivors.
- Work with staff to create, implement, monitor, and update individual safety plans.
- Ensures personal clinical records adhere to CARF, State, Federal, and Ethical guidelines in terms of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Networks with other providers to help survivors access community resources.
- Maintain relationships with all partnering agencies and referral sources.
- Upon request, provide training, mentorship and clinical directions to My House staff.
- Other duties and tasks as negotiated.
- Master’s Degree in Social work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, or Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling.
- Three (3) years of providing services in the Behavioral Health and SUD field.
- Working knowledge of Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed practices.
- If in recovery must be in remission for two (2) years and working a program of recovery.
- Alaska Chemical Dependency Counselor Certification (CDC II) is working towards a (CDCS) in accordance with State requirements.
- Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory state and federal background check, approved National Provider Identifier Standard (NPI) status, and state Approval as a Qualified Addictions Professional (QAP) or a Provisional (QAP).
- Must have a valid Alaska Driver's License and insurable under My House vehicle
insurance
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:- Licensed in field of expertise.
- Certified EMDR provider
- Certified trauma specialist.
- Alaska Chemical Dependency Counselor Certification (CDCS)
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED certified 111
- Current NPI and QAP
- Proficient in consumer intake processes, encompassing interviews, assessments, DSM criteria, ASAM Patient Placement Criteria, and referrals.
- Possesses knowledge of substance use and behavioral health disorders.
- Expertise and experience in program development involving trauma informed approaches to the assessment and treatment of behavio ral health disorders in adolescents, and adults.
- Familiarity and/or experi ness in the fields of DV, SA, Human Trafficking and Commercial Sex Exploitation
- Skilled in building and maintaining interpersonal relationships, effective communication, and collaborative teamwork.
