Position

IT and Maximo Support Specialist – Exempt, Full‑Time, Day Shift.

Location

Anchorage, Alaska – Joint Base Elmendorf‑Richardson.

Compensation

$91,321.60 – $ per year.

Responsibilities
  • Support site users with IT device, networking, and business system support, including Maximo, EZMAX, and Workday.
  • Ensure high availability of EZMAX on iPad devices for Field Technicians.
  • Collaborate with central IT to maintain reliable, secure network, applications, and devices for all site users.
  • Assist with property accountability of issued and deployed IT assets.
  • Provide support for IBM Maximo mobility (EZMaxMobile) – device configuration, training, and issue ownership.
  • Resolve issues directly or coordinate with the Maximo Programmer/Analyst team.
  • Understand core IBM Maximo applications and support mobile and desktop users.
  • Identify Tier 2 issues and opportunities, escalating to the Maximo team as needed.
  • Maintain ownership of reported issues until resolution.
  • Develop and maintain basic Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Conduct biweekly Maximo sessions for assigned sites, facilitating issue tracking and prioritization.
  • Create and present training curricula tailored to software modules and user needs.
  • Gather requirements and discover processes for application/device support.
  • Schedule and manage tasks while creating business intelligence reports.
  • Leverage innovation and data management to maximize value and improve user experience.
  • Collaborate with technical consultants, site managers, and executives, demonstrating strong communication and relationship‑management skills.
  • Install and resolve sensor connectivity issues, including gateway and web application configuration.
  • Support predictive tools (infrared, acoustic, vibration) and ensure proper data upload to web applications.
  • Lead adoption of Teams and One Drive, structuring folders and linking to Maximo and project applications.
  • Maintain ethical standards when handling sensitive company data.
  • Work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced, multi‑priority environment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide excellent customer service and adapt to diverse customer needs.
  • Work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in technology, networking, or information systems (preferred).
  • One year of technology and networking experience (preferred).
  • IT/Network certification such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or similar (preferred).
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent reaching, kneeling, walking, standing, and repetitive motions for several hours.
  • Climbing in and out of a vehicle and up/down stairs may be required.
  • Ability to work under pressure for extended periods.
Requirements
  • Valid state driver’s license; ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • REAL ‑compliant driver’s license or acceptable alternative (e.g., U.S. passport, military ) for federal installation access.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • Background check and E‑Verify will be conducted.
