The position may be in

Anchorage, Bethel, Fairbanks, Homer, Juneau, Kenai, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Nome, Sitka, and Wasilla,

depending on the location of the most qualified candidate.

What you will be doing:

You, as the Project Analyst, will serve as a key contributor in the Eligibility Modernization Office (EMO), supporting complex system modernization and business transformation initiatives through advanced analytical, coordination, and leadership support across the project lifecycle. This position works closely with program leadership, technical teams, and vendors to lead stakeholder discovery, translate business, policy, and technical needs into clear requirements, and evaluate system and process designs.

This postion as a Project Analyst, you will play a central role in planning and supporting testing, implementation, data validation, and project reporting while ensuring deliverables meet defined acceptance criteria. You will also support security and compliance activities, maintain authoritative project documentation, and provide leadership within Agile/Scrum teams to help ensure project outcomes align with organizational goals.

Who we are looking for:

The ideal candidate will possess some or all of the following position-specific competencies:

Project Management:

Knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance.

Software Development:

Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for designing, developing, and testing software in a given environment.

Information Systems/Network Security:

Knowledge of methods, tools, and procedures, including development of information security plans, to prevent information systems vulnerabilities, and provide or restore security of information systems and network services.

Self-Management:

Sets well-defined and realistic personal goals; displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments promptly; works with minimal supervision; is motivated to achieve; demonstrates responsible behavior.

Project Management & Vendor Oversight:

Describe your experience managing or supporting complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and external contractors. How have you planned and coordinated work, monitored progress and costs, and ensured contractor deliverables met performance and quality expectations?

Software Development & Testing

Experience:

Provide an example of your role in software development or system modernization efforts. Describe how you contributed to requirements development, design review, testing, and implementation, and how you ensured solutions met business and technical needs.
