Overview
Electrical QC Inspector – O&M North Slope Construction. The Electrical / Instrumentation QC Inspector is responsible for testing, inspecting, installing, repairing, and maintaining instruments and control equipment. This position updates all electrical and instrumentation diagrams, documentation, and PLC programs in accordance with Company requirements.
Essential Duties- Perform and document inspections and conduct subcontractor audits as required.
- Review applicable standards and codes to establish quality requirements and verify acceptance of finished products.
- Develop inspection plans and reporting requirements in coordination with the Quality Manager.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems and system components.
- Monitor the installation of electrical equipment including conductors, conduit, cable, cable trays, and hardware for compliance with customer requirements and Company quality standards.
- Ensure all deliverables conform to drawings and specifications.
- Investigate and address customer requests regarding quality.
- Implement quality control procedures and document control processes as required.
- Perform in-house audits on document control and material handling processes.
- Identify quality training requirements and conduct training.
- Interface with project management and procurement to communicate quality or supplier issues.
- Ensure all deliverables are operational, complete, and ready for turnover to the customer.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- A valid (U.S issued) Driver’s License is required.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- The ability to work 80.5 – 84 hours a week on a 2x2, 3x3, or 4x2 rotation is required.
- A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience working as an Electrical QC Inspector is required.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience handling inspection documentation to support quality control activities is required.
- A State of Alaska Journeyman Electrician License is required.
- A State of Alaska Certificate of Fitness is required.
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code is required.
- Annual vision examination including color vision tests is required.
- Five (5) or more years’ experience working in a Construction/Industrial setting, the Oil and Gas/Petrochemical industry, and/or the North Slope/Arctic environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power Bi, and One Drive.
