Cruz Construction, Inc. is seeking Mate of Towing professionals for their marine operations in Alaskan Waters. This seasonal, full-time role involves supervising crew activities aboard towing vessels and standing watch in the Captain’s absence. Candidates will work in remote and challenging environments, making this an exciting opportunity for those with strong maritime skills and leadership abilities.

• Competitive daily wage: $700–$850 per day DOE
• Seasonal, full-time employment
• Work in remote Alaskan waters
• Potential exposure to unique marine and arctic environments

• Merchant Mariner Credential
• Mate of Towing Near Coastal endorsement
• Radar Observer Unlimited
• TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
• Valid Driver License
• Ability to supervise and coordinate crew activities
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform frequent climbing, kneeling, and other physical tasks
• Ability to work 12-hour days, 7 days a week, for up to 8 weeks at a time
• Understanding of safe navigation and towing practices

• Vessel Security Officer (VSO) Certificate
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Experience with Alaska Tug and Barge, including Western Alaska rivers and Arctic regions
