Welder

Job Description

This position is responsible for a wide range of welding jobs such as Carbide Dressing, Hard Banding, Hard facing, Saw welding and general fabrication works.

• Perform all work safely and in accordance with the Company's HSE policies and procedures.
• Set up and run RT & UT Quality Vessel Weld Processes.
• Set up and run RT Quality Pipe Weld.
• Set up and run UT Quality Nozzle Welds (all positions 6G).
• Set up and run Carbon Arc Gouging.
• Make any UT or RT weld repair.
• Clean and stamp all welds.
• Set up and run all structural non-code welds.
• Run all welding equipment.
• Read drawings, WPSs/PQRs.
• Lead others and plan ahead.
• Know PT, MT, UT, RT methods.
• Make correct decisions.
• Accomplish tasks efficiently.
• Work safely.
• Avoid weld repairs exceeding 0.5%.

• High School diploma required.
• At least 2 years of specific welding work experience.
• Necessary licenses, certificates, and registrations to safely perform welding functions.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools specific to welding.
• Detail-oriented, self-starter able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; can effectively communicate with staff, management, customers, vendors.
• Sound reasoning skills and ability to follow directions.

• Background screening, including driving records review.
• Valid driver's license.
• Full clearance of medical examination, including drug screening, physical assessment, and fitness for duty evaluation.

• Work in adverse weather conditions.
• Work in remote, isolated environments.
• Work in hazardous and noisy conditions.
• Work in enclosed spaces.
• Operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment and/or power tools.
• Work at heights.
• Wear personal protective equipment as required.
• Frequent standing, walking, stooping or kneeling.
• Lift, carry, move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a team environment considering alternative and diverse perspectives.
• Comprehend, remember and follow directions; comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.
