Ameresco has a new opportunity for an
** Apprentice Plumber
** with a strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn to join our Federal Operations and Maintenance team based in
** Anchorage, Alaska**.
** Responsibilities:
*** Install, maintain, test, and repair plumbing and HVAC mechanical systems, related piping systems, and control valves, and all other related equipment, in accordance with plumbing codes.
* Maintain customer satisfaction and exceed customers’ expectations.
* Able to keep up with book work and testing for the apprentice program.
* Ability to travel to remote locations for extended periods of time to support construction operations.
* Perform related duties as assigned.

* Minimum Qualifications:

*** High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
* Experience or interest in commercial Plumbing service and installation.
* Working towards Journeyman’s Plumbers certification.
*
* Additional Qualifications:

*** Completion of trade school or Vocational High School Diploma desired.
* Self-starter who is able to work in a team environment and able to follow verbal instructions.
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient with Microsoft office suite (Word, Outlook, etc).
* Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines.
* Physical ability to bend, reach, climb, and lift 45+ lbs. without assistance.
* Willing to work flexible hours and days (i.e., up to 12-hour days and/or weekends).
* Will be required to travel to remote locations. Must be able to drive, pass a drug test and background check.
