Work Schedule:
Full‑time, day shift.
Compensation: $55.54 per hour.

This position is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated start date of August 25, 2026. The HVAC Working Lead will install, service, and repair environmental‑control systems in residential, commercial, and office settings, coordinate technician activities, and maintain documentation and quality control.
Responsibilities- Install, service, and repair environmental‑control systems using refrigeration theory, pipe fitting, and structural layout.
- Mount compressors and condenser units on platforms or floors; fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and chassis parts with portable metalworking tools and welding equipment.
- Install evaporator units in chassis or duct systems; connect motors, compressors, temperature and humidity controls, and ventilation fans to control panels and power sources.
- Install air and water filters; inject refrigerant and add Freon gas to achieve operating pressure.
- Supervise and coordinate technician activities.
- Complete all assigned tasks of an HVAC Technician and Boiler Tender, including installations, diagnosis, service, and repair of heating and air‑conditioning units.
- Maintain documentation, including training agendas, attendance records, scheduling, and reports.
- Document and report quality‑control complaints.
- Ensure safety procedures are adhered to for an accident‑free environment.
- Communicate with technicians, scheduler, and material coordinators regarding scheduling, cost estimates, customer inquiries, and satisfaction surveys.
- Train new employees, assist with work assignments, set priorities, and evaluate performance.
- Provide technical guidance to lower‑level technicians.
- Assist Quality Control and SSHO departments with inspections as needed.
- Minimum 8 years of experience.
- Municipality of Anchorage mechanical license required.
- State of Alaska journeyman level mechanical license required.
- EPA 608 license required or ability to obtain within 1 year.
- Alaska certificate of fitness required.
- Boiler Class 1 Certificate of fitness preferred.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Duties may include reaching, kneeling, walking, standing, repetitive motion, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and using stairs for several hours. Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking, and standing or sitting for extended periods under pressure.
Requirements- Valid state driver’s license with ability to obtain and maintain Tessera insurance coverage.
- REALID‑compliant driver’s license or acceptable alternative for federal installation access.
- Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
- Background check and E‑Verify will be conducted.
