HVAC Technician

Work Schedule:

Full‑Time Day Shift.

Compensation: $50.49 per hour.

• Install, repair, and troubleshoot HVAC malfunctions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
• Use wire diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and drawings for repairs and maintenance.
• Install and clean air and water filters; install and program thermostats.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and chassis parts.
• Connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, and ventilation fans to control panels and power sources.
• Communicate with customers, inform them of repairs, and determine needs.
• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
• Ensure work meets quality control standards.
• Diagnose issues and suggest solutions to customers.
• Update scheduler on repair status and completion estimates.
• Operate company vehicles, trailers, lifts, and small equipment powered by gas or electric.
• Use mobile maintenance devices to record service and repair activities.
• Maintain and wear required PPE.

• Minimum of 1 year HVAC experience.
• Civilian or military trade school training or equivalent.
• Municipality of Anchorage mechanical license preferred.
• State of Alaska mechanical license preferred (Journeyman level).
• EPA 608 license required or able to obtain within one year.
• Alaska certificate of fitness required.

Must be able to lift or move up to 70 pounds, reach, kneel, walk, stand, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods. Able to climb in and out of vehicles, stairs, and use equipment under pressure.

• A valid state driver’s license with coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
• REAL‑ driver’s license or acceptable alternative (U.S. passport, military ).
• Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
• Background check and E‑Verify compliance.
