PositionService Technician – ClassC, Full‑Time Pay Range: $21.00–$28.00 per hour (flat rate, DOE)
OverviewAs a service technician at Chevrolet of Wasilla, you will perform automotive repairs, maintain shop standards, and ensure customer satisfaction while working in an environment that values quality of life and professional growth.
Responsibilities- Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose causes of malfunctions and complete all work per applicable safety requirements.
- Road‑test vehicles to verify repair quality.
- Accurately record time spent on repairs using company time‑clocking procedures.
- Document work performed and test procedures/results on repair orders.
- Maintain an inventory of normal mechanical tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels and punches) and return special tools to their proper place.
- Use shop supplies and materials efficiently and economically.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace; complete a stall cleaning each day.
- Return customer vehicles in a condition as clean as before service.
- Complete all required training and acquire/maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications.
- Participate in technical training assigned by management.
- Review technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management.
- Communicate constructively with dealership personnel to meet customer needs.
- Report any safety, welfare or integrity concerns to management.
- Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards per departmental policies.
- Adhere to work schedule, including time for breaks and departure.
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Passed manufacturer training and ability to perform repairs in the following areas without supervision: lube and maintenance services, engine repair, suspension/steering repair, brake repair, heating and A/C repair (optional).
- Manufacturer‑certified in all listed areas.
- Minimum of one ASE certification; ASE Master Technician preferred.
- Customer pay proficiency level greater than 100%.
- Three to five years of automotive technical experience.
- Acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence.
