Tower Foreman - Wasilla, Alaska

The Tower foreman supervises and performs construction duties on a daily basis on telecommunication sites. Supervise subcontractors and job site personnel to complete the scope of work assigned. Must be able to follow instructions and complete assigned jobs timely and safely.

• Leadanddirectacrewof2-4members.
• Providessuggestionsandrecommendationsforhiring,firing,andtrainingofemployees.
• Providessuggestionsandrecommendationsforemployeeadvancements,compensation,promotions,production,efficiency,orother status changes.
• Fullunderstandingofajob orproject scopeofwork(SOW).
• Full understanding of method of procedures (MOP) and practices to perform the assigned job/project.
• Abilitytowrite a detailed MOP.
• Schedulesemployeeworkandworkhoursforassignedemployees.
• Directsandplanstheworkofassignedemployees.
• Determinesproperprojecttechniquesforassignedemployees.
• Maintainsjobrecordsfor use inmanagingorcontrol.
• Workwith Superintendentor Construction Managertodeterminematerials ,equipment,andtoolstobeusedforassignedprojects.
• Reads,interprets,andbuildsaccordingtodesignsiteplansandlayouts.
• Controlstheflowanddistributionofmaterialsandsupplies.
• Plansandcontrolsthejobbudgets.
• Managesalldatain Betacomtools(Site Manager) and customer tools.
• Ensuresafetyandsecurity ofemployeesandcompanyassets.
• Performs inspection of entire installs.
• Troubleshoots problems with installs.
• Captures and provides closeout packages.
• Participatesandassistsinhandlingemployeecomplaintsandgrievancesaccording tocompanypolicyandlawfully.
• Participatesandassistsinhandlingemployeediscipline andprobationaccordingtocompanypolicyandlawfully.
• Takes full responsibility for crew safety.
• Ensures crew members are in compliance with company and customer safety requirements.
• Inspects all tools and rigging gear to ensure they are safe to use.
• Reportsanyworkers’comp injuriesorotherincidents.

• Knowsthehazardsassociatedwithtowerclimbing,construction equipment,andworkingonornearenergizedlinesandequipment.
• Certificationwithalltestequipment(Anritsusweepgear,PIMgear,fiber testing,etc.).
• Experiencedwithcustomtowerriggingtechniques.
• Experienced with all manners of troubleshootinge.g., RET’s, GPS antenna system, RF noise floor, TMA gain,tower light systems,VSWR,microwave systems,etc)).
• Proficient with the completion of closeout packages.

  Installation,testing,andrepairingoftowerlightsystems.
  
  Installation if Ice Bridges .Sweeping test all lines and equipment,operatingsweeptest software,reading results and sending to customers.
  
  PIM testing all lines and equipment, operate PIM test software,reading results and sending to customers.
  
  Installing,commissioning,andtestingRETsystems.
  
  Using GPS alignment tools.
  
  Installing,testing,pathaligningandtroubleshoot
  
  Microwave dishes.
  
  Installing,testing,andtroubleshootingRRU/BBUequipmentontowers.
  
  Otherdutiesrelatingtotelecommunicationtowerconstructionandmaintenance.
  
  Abilitytoread,analyzeandinterpretjournals,technical procedures,orgovernmentalregulations.
