Responsibilities- Case management, advocacy, and service coordination for families involved in child welfare proceedings
- Ensure compliance with court orders
- Facilitate access to culturally appropriate resources
Offer vital family support - Act as a liaison between families, service providers, legal entities, and external agencies, advocating for Tribal families within both Tribal and state legal systems
- 2 to 3 years of experience is preferred. We are willing to provide training for CNV citizens.
- A bachelor’s degree in social work, or a related field is preferred, but can be substituted with two additional years of relevant experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and leadership skills; including the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds; establish and maintain cooperative relationships and work successfully as a member of a team.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving and organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet sometimes competing deadlines while working independently and with others.
- Superb verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to function well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
- A valid Alaska Driver’s license and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy is a requirement of this position.
- This position requires you to complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
- As allowed in P.L. 93-638, preference for employment will be given to Alaska Native and American Indian peoples.
