BASIC FUNCTION
Assisting clients with job‑related tasks on the workers’ worksite, overseeing job completion while working with multiple clients throughout a shift. Implementing knowledge and modeling job‑related skills to foster independence, this includes interpersonal and employment skills such as basic job tasks and self‑direction. (Safety)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Guide and assist clients at the job site in completing job‑related tasks to increase independence.
- Mentor by providing tools for the development of motivation and self‑direction.
- Maintain positive communication between the client, office staff, and the store manager.
- Complete daily documentation of client progress on goals.
- Advise on workplace accommodations to ensure clients can meet job requirements.
- Manage time effectively to fit multiple clients within daily shifts.
- Manage client behavior by applying effective de‑escalation techniques and encouraging coping skills.
- Represent Shine Bright Care through positive interactions with customers, other employees, and management.
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines.
- Utilize teaching techniques and instructional variety to meet client needs.
- Promote a safe work environment and client safety.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to consistently arrive to work on time.
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate and maintain a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of effective de‑escalation techniques.
- Ability to work independently.
- Capacity for frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive motions depending on client needs.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with a disability to perform essential functions.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Able to pass a background check.
- Experience preferred; willing to train an eager‑to‑learn candidate.
- Daily schedules:
Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (may change due to client scheduling).
