What You'll Do
You'll be behind the wheel of a garbage truck, keeping Anchorage clean and green. You'll:
* Safely operate a commercial CDL truck on assigned local routes
* Pick up residential/commercial waste & recycling
* Perform pre/post trip inspections (fluids, tires, safety checks)
* Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers
* Lift and move heavy materials (50+ lbs) - this is a hands-on job!
* Deliver top-tier customer service every step of the way
️ What You Bring
* Valid Class B CDL (with air brakes) - Class A? Even better!
* Clean driving record
* 1+ year of experience in commercial or route driving
* You're comfortable working outdoors, in all weather
* You're reliable, friendly, and a team player
️ Your Work Environment
Expect early mornings, physical work, and plenty of fresh air. This is an active outdoor job, not a desk job.
You'll deal with:
* Wet, cold, or humid conditions
* Heavy lifting, climbing, and movement
* Moderate truck and equipment noise
