Position: Equipment Fueler (CDL Required) - Kuparuk - Roads & Pads Group

JOB SUMMARY

The Equipment Fueler is responsible for safely fueling light, heavy, mobile, and stationary equipment in accordance with all flammable and combustible fluid transfer policies and procedures. This role involves operating fuel trucks, tankers, pumps, and valves to ensure efficient and compliant refueling operations.

In addition to fueling duties, the Equipment Fueler performs routine maintenance tasks and supports overall equipment readiness as needed. This position requires extensive outdoor work in Arctic conditions, demanding a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and environmental compliance.

A valid U.S.

-issued, Alaska-compliant Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with both Hazmat and Tanker endorsements is required as well as a DOT Medical Card.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Perform refueling operations on light, heavy, mobile, and stationary equipment, and machinery.
  • Operate tankers, pumps, and valves to refuel equipment.
  • Perform fluid level checks and record fuel activity as required.
  • Monitor the availability and delivery of fuel products.
  • Operate light and heavy‑duty equipment on ice roads.
  • Support AES zero‑incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid (U.S issued, Alaska compliant) Class A CDL with both Hazmat and Tanker endorsements is required.
  • A current DOT Medical Card is required.
  • A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
  • The ability to work 84 hours a week on a 3x3 rotation is required.
  • At least three (3) years of experience as an Equipment Fueler, with responsibility for fueling and servicing a diverse fleet of light-, medium-, and heavy‑duty vehicles, along with mobile and stationary equipment and machinery is required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Five (5) or more years of experience working as an Equipment Fueler specifically in the Petrochemical or Oil and Gas industry, on the North Slope, and/or in other Arctic environment is preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi‑Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp.

Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self‑serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/theater room, etc. Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed upon on‑site orientation.
